Chapman Waters

I am an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Philosophy at the University of Utah. When I’m not teaching or fighting for better job conditions at the U, I’m probably fishing.

I am proud to be part of my union because I believe no employer should be allowed to offend against its workers with impunity. Our wall-to-wall union is dedicated to ensuring that power runs both ways — that workers also have the ability to shape the world and workplace of the employer. This balance is crucial for protecting the dignity of the people who make higher education possible — and for preventing those who stand to benefit from our labor from having greater-than-necessary discretion over the conditions under which we work, live, and thrive.
